CT3531: Networks and Data Communications 2

This module provides students with more advanced knowledge in the area of computer
networks and data communications. It follows on from the module Networks and Data Communications 1 and it covers more advanced areas such as Network Design, Dynamic Routing, Network Simulation and Advanced Protocol Analysis and Design

Learning Outcomes
- Understand more advanced network implementations including enterprise and provide class networks
- Analyze and design solutions related to Network Security including firewall configuration
- Understand the role and design of dynamic network routing protocols such as OSPF and BGP
- Undertake detailed analysis of live network packet captures and be able to debug network problems
- Use advanced Network Simulation software to design and simulate dynamically routed networks
