Developing a critical economic prescriptive complements a business leader’s ability to innovate successfully and consistently with a business for society agenda. Economics of the Business Environment aims to enable students to develop such a critical economic perspective by introducing and exploring traditional and emerging economic theories, methods and data which relate to the operation of the contemporary global business environment.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Critically evaluate the value of traditional and emergent economic theories and methods as they relate to the contemporary business environment.
  2. Demonstrate a level of economic thought analysis, with respect to the global economy and of topical economic events, consistent with the expectations of senior business leaders.
  3. Demonstrate an ability to apply economic theory, methods, data and analysis to aid understanding of local and organisational business scenarios.
