Course Modules
FM4105: Film Practice 4
Semester 1 | Credits: 5
This module will develop the filmmaking skills that students acquired in years 1, 2 and 3, including editing skills and knowledge of how to light and shoot a scene. Workshops provide students with an understanding of film techniques and incorporate practical, hands-on exercises, demonstrations and discussion.

Learning Outcomes
- Perform competently in digital camera operation, lighting techniques and location sound recording.
- Demonstrate proficiency in post-production skills.
- Demonstrate the creative ability to devise, develop and produce a short piece of moving image work.
- Demonstrate the ability to work collaboratively on a creative project.
- Understand health and safety practice in all aspects of film production.
- Demonstrate skills in written, oral and visual communications.
