Course Modules
FMSK1100: Digital Design
Semester 1 | Credits: 5
This module introduces students to key components of visual communications (form, colour, type, layout) and to the appropriate vocabulary needed for effective analysis and criticism of visual communications. Students are introduced to industry standard digital design software and tools and practical work encourages the development of an experiential, problem-solving design process.

Learning Outcomes
- Produce visual designs using principles of composition, information hierarchy, colour, form, typography.
- Critique visual communications and illustrate how formal design principles can create meaning in graphic images.
- Demonstrate a reflective design development process.
- Create visual designs using an industry standard digital editing package.
