Year Abroad | Credits: 60

Students spend their Third Year in a specialist business school or University in France within the framework of the ERASMUS+ exchange programme, following an approved course of study in the mainstream business specialisation of their host institution, while at the same time having the opportunity to take classes in French language and culture.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Students will have experienced a different approach to third-level education by integrating completely into French student life. Students face the challenge of living and in some cases working part-time abroad and make the most of opportunities to travel and meet new people.
  2. Through exposure to different subjects, work & study practices and teaching & assessment methods, students will have honed their language, communication & critical thinking skills and will have begun to focus on their strengths and aptitudes with a view to meeting the challenges of their final year, post-graduate studies and the workplace.
  3. Progress to 4BC2 / Final Year depends on successful completion of the agreed course of study while abroad. Upon successful completion of this module, students will have progressed their skill set in French to a B.1.2/B.2.1 level of proficiency as per the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages.
