Course Module Information

Course Modules

Semester 1 and Semester 2 | Credits: 5

The student should only register for this module in the academic year that they intend to complete the module. This module aims to give students the opportunity to further their knowledge in a broad range of research areas as presented in a set of research seminars or at a conference. Students are expected to read in preparation for attending seminars/conference, actively participate in the seminars/conference and to record and critically analyse what was presented. Students should write abstracts, succinctly describing the research presented. It is expected that students will discuss with their supervisor (and other research team members) the research presented. A reflective journal should be maintained by the student to record the student’s learning experience on this module. Specifically the relevance of the research presented to the student’s research project should be included in this journal. Students may also prepare and present their own research seminar.
