Course Modules

Semester 2 | Credits: 5

The Entrepreneurship training programme is a hands-on module utilizing the lean launchpad methodology that immerses student teams in testing a business model hypothesis outside of the classroom environment. Inside the classroom, the module will deliberately trade lecture time for student/teaching-team interaction. The Bootcamp uses the Lean Canvas and the Customer Development process to collapse the infinite possibilities of a startup into a solvable problem. Innovation and entrepreneurship training facilitators are qualified to deliver the programme through the Lean LaunchPad educators programme at Venturewell. Students may bring an idea to develop through the programme however it is not an essential requirement, students will be introduced to ideation at the first session and supported to find an idea to develop through the lean launchpad methodology. This module is available to all research students across all 5 colleges of NUI Galway and the skillset developed through the module are aligned with the IUA Irish Universities PhD Graduate Skill Statement under the Entrepreneurship and Innovation pillar.
