OY3107: Practice Education - Case Study 2
Semester 2 | Credits: 10
This module provides the student with a second opportunity to produce a written case study report on a service user with whom they have worked with during their practice education placement. The case study should be a typical service user of the practice education site with one complexity or challenge and is chosen in collaboration with the practice educator.

Learning Outcomes
- To demonstrate their knowledge of the process of writing a client centred case study report maintaining academic standards to typical service user that they have worked with on placement that has one complication or complexity. This is an intermediate level report.
- To demonstrate their application of the complete occupational therapy process and of adherence to the scope of practice in the practice education context where guidance and supervision was received from a qualified CORU registered occupational therapist.
- To demonstrate the application of theory, evidence-based practice and clinical reasoning to their practice to an intermediate standard.
- To demonstrate adherence to professional standards, including the ethical, legal, and work based policies when working within a work placement to practice standard with guidance and supervision from a qualified CORU registered occupational therapist.
- To demonstrate being a self-directed learner who maximises opportunities to seek information to maximise the quality of service to the service user in this practice context to an intermediate standard.
- To demonstrate progression towards practice competence in relation to skills, knowledge, attitude and behaviour in accordance with the CORU standards of proficiency
