PH5116: Scalable Innovation
Semester 1 | Credits: 5
This module provides graduate students with a clear insight into what makes a scalable innovative technologies. Students first understand competition, the importance of value chains and the contribution that the alignment of research with regional innovation clusters can make. Students are then challenged to analyse the value chain for their own research activities; this is done in terms of technology readiness and stakeholder intensity. The innovative potential of proposed gaps or opportunities in this value chain is then assessed by developing and understanding the overall system in which their research contributes. The module is particularly relevant to entrepreneurial graduate students working on key enabling technologies.
