- 1. Define health psychology and outline its relevance to SLT (Health Psychology Component)
- 2. Define health with reference to the key concepts and determinants of health (Health Psychology Component)
- 3. Describe health behaviours and the relationship between behaviour, social and physical environment and health and illness (Health Psychology Component)
- 4. Explain the major health behaviour models, including personality, motivational models and social-cognitive models (Health Psychology Component)
- 5. Analyse the behaviour change process, and own attitudes towards health behaviour change, by participating in a health behaviour change intervention (Health Psychology Component)
- Identify approaches (e.g. communication styles, promoting key health messages) to facilitate clients in changing health-related behaviours (Health Psychology Component)
- Discuss the function of physiological and psychological systems in the stress-illness pathway (Health Psychology Component)
- Discuss the psychosocial components in the experience of physical pain (Health Psychology Component)
