This module introduces students to the various principles of ethics, corporate governance and social responsibility in the contemporary business environment. It is designed to inform and engage students regarding the ethical influences on the financial, digital, marketing, social and environmental aspects of management. This course also critically analyses stakeholder participation in decision-making and the moral obligations of corporate managers.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Explain and apply individual ethical decision-making including the role of moral philosophies and empathy
  2. Compare and analyse the role of stakeholders and corporate managers’ moral obligations in business decision making.
  3. Analyse and explain financial, marketing, social, digital and environmental sustainability issues relating to business practice.
  4. Apply corporate governance best practice principles and recommendations to achieve appropriate business practice.
  5. Develop and implement ethics and CSR initiatives suitable for a range of organisational profiles
  6. Engage in the key debates, critiques and future opportunities in CSR from an organisational, national and global perspective
