SC3214: Information Technology for Business
Semester 2 | Credits: 5
This course aims to facilitate students’ learning about business information systems, devices & networks, the Internet & eBusiness, information management and security, with significant practical usage of emerging social media, collaborative online writing and the creation of a website in groups.

Learning Outcomes
- Learn about website design analysis, web-writing process & considerations.
- Create a website in WordPress.
- Learn to communicate and interact in the class social network on Yammer.
- Learn to review & find IT for Business course information in the module’s pbworks.com wiki.
- Research IT for Business topics & document your learning in groups, by practicing the art of collaborative technical writing in multimedia format in the module’s pbworks.com Wiki with academic referencing.
- Review researched group-content in the wiki & deliver a group educational video prezi-tation in class, created using Prezi-Next & voice recordings.
- Generate an online Survey using freeonlinesurvey.com on all aspects of IT for Business theory.
- Develop revision strategies for individual learning or group learning for an IT theory-exam, using IT for Business content (wiki/prezi) developed by your cohort of students.
