To develop an understanding of the functions associates with the management and maintenance of facilities in the hospitality sector.

Learning Outcomes
  1. Identify the key safety and security issues related to managing a hospitality facility.
  2. Understand Health & Safety legislation in Ireland.
  3. Associate the role of a hospitality manager with the management function of managing facilities in an effective manner.
  4. Identify and evaluate an appropriate environment policy for a project/organisation.
  5. Examine the key trends and developments affecting the management of different departments.
  6. Awareness of cost implications resulting from facilities management.
