SL323: Research Methodology 3
Semester 1 and Semester 2 | Credits: 5
The aim of this module is to broaden knowledge of research methodology through the application of research theory to practice.

Learning Outcomes
- Choose optimal research design for their research question.
- Carry out basic descriptive and inferential statistical procedures using SPSS.
- Design and apply simple questionnaires and attitude scales.
- Apply the principles of the various qualitative research traditions and conduct basic thematic analysis of qualitative research data.
- Carry out basic purposeful and theoretical sampling techniques.
- Conduct basic interviewing techniques (semi-structured interviews & focus groups).
- Develop a proposal for a final year research project, giving due consideration to ethical issues.
