Course Modules
TI3114: Environmental Change: International course in Chengdu, China
Semester 1 | Credits: 5
This module is taught in collaboration with Sichuan University, Chengdu, China. Enrolment for this course is invite-only, and students are encouraged to apply for acceptance to the course. Students will take one intensive classroom-based module (16 hours), which is accompanied by 12 hours of field observation in and around Chengdu, China. Classroom options include diverse topics in pollution, conservation, and human-environment interactions. Field component varies, but always includes themes of pollution, natural resource management and human-environment interactions.

Learning Outcomes
- Examine human-environment relations within an international framework
- Analyse evidence and present results through oral communication
- Derive a holistic understanding of human impacts on the environment across various timescales
- Apply class content through field observations within a Chinese context
