Entry requirements
Applicants should have a primary degree level 7/8 and a portfolio that demonstrates appropriate attainment in fine art. A major in fine art is not required. Bachelors Degree with Honours, or a Major in Fine Arts, or evidence of equivalent achievement. Applications are assessed by means of a portfolio and a written statement. The portfolio should comprise a minimum of ten works, which may be represented on CD, DVD or 35 mm slides.

Course overview
The main aim of the programme is to assist graduate students to identify their artistic identity and interests and to prepare them for the next step in their artistic careers, typically progression to a MFA or other postgraduate programme at this or another institution.
It is suited to those with a first degree level 7 or 8 in fine art who wish to progress to an MFA but who have not yet developed their portfolio to the necessary standard.
It is also suited to those with a first degree level7 or 8 in a subject other than fine art who wish to transfer into postgraduate fine art such as an MFA or MA
Modules are provided in Studio Practice and Critique (Independent Study); Studio Courses in a variety of fine art media; Historical and Critical Studies; and The Burren: Culture and Environment.
