Assistive Technology

What is the service?

Information Solutions and Services provides technical support to the Disability Office and the Assistive Technology Service (ATS) in the James Hardiman Library as follows: 

• Provision of a reliable PC Suite environment in the ATS area of the James Hardiman Library including specialised hardware and software
  
  
• Configuration of equipment, usually laptops, for students including specialised software
  
  
• Point of escalation for technical problems with University-owned equipment and specialised software used by students registered with the Disability Office.

Who can use the service?

Students registered with the Disability Office.

Availability

• Normal office hours 09:15 – 13:00 and 14:15 – 17:15

Technical information

Technical support is provided for University-owned equipment and for specialised software on personally-owned laptops.

Prerequisites required for the service

Students must be registered with the Disability Office.
