Browser settings for NUI Galway Proxy

• Internet Explorer on PC

Internet Explorer on PC

1. Click on Tools, Internet Options:
    
   In the event that the Tools Menu is not available, you can select the Tools Icon and then select Internet Options.
   
   
   
2. Select the  Connections tab and click on LAN settings
   
   
   
3. Make sure all the options are blank, as below
   Click OK
   

Mozilla Firefox on PC 

1. Click on Tools, Options
    
   
2. Click on Advanced, and select the Network tab, Setting (Connection)
    
   
   
3. Make sure  No Proxy is selected, as below
   Click OK
    
   

Google Chrome on PC 

1. Click on the   icon, then click on Options
    
   
   
2. Select Under the Bonnet, then click on Change proxy settings... (Network)
   Note: If the Under the Bonnet option is not available – See Chrome Alternative Configuration in the next section
    
   
   
3. Select the Connections tab, and click on  LAN settings
    
   
   
4. Make sure all the options are blank, as below
   Click OK
     

Google Chrome Alternative Configuration

1. Click on the   icon, then click on Settings
   
   
   
2. Click on Show advanced settings... at the bottom of the settings page
   
   
3. Select Change proxy settings on the Advanced Settings Network Section
   
4. Click on Connections, then LAN settings
   
   
5. Make sure all the options are blank, as below
   Click OK
   

Opera on PC

1. Click on Opera, Settings:
    
   
   
2. Select the  Advanced tab
    
   
   
3. Click on Network, then click on Proxy Servers
    
   
   
4. Make sure all the options are unchecked, as below
   Click OK
   

Safari on PC

1. Click on the icon, then click on Preferences
    
   
   
   
2. Click on Advanced 
    
   
   
3. Click on the Connections tab, and then click on LAN Settings
   
    
   
4. Ensure all the fields are blank as below. Click OK
    

MAC Settings - General

1. Click on Apple – System Preferences – Network
   
   
   
2. Click on Advanced
   
   
   
3. Click on Proxies
   
   
   
4. Make sure all the boxes are unchecked, as below
   Click OK
   
    

Firefox - MAC

1. Click on “ Apple Logo” - Preferences
   
   
   
2. Click Advanced
   
   
   
3. Click Network
   
   
   
4. Ensure all the boxes are empty and No proxy is selected, as below
   Click OK
   
    

Safari – MAC

1. Click Safari - Preferences
   
   
   
2. Click Advanced
   
   
   
3. Click Proxies and under Configure Proxies, select Manually
   
   
   
4. Make sure all the fields are blank as below.
   Click OK
