Configure Outlook 2010 for academic users who have not been migrated and are currently on Exchange 2003
Steps to follow
Close Outlook (if already open)
From the
Start menu, click
Control Panel and then open
Mail
Click
Show Profiles
Click the
Add button
A New Profile dialog box appears
Type in your name the profile name window and click
OK
The first page of the email Accounts Wizard appears Add a new email account.
Select
Manually configure server settings or additional server types and click
Next
The second page of the eMail Accounts Wizard appears. Select the
Microsoft Exchange
option, click
Next
8. The third page of the eMail Accounts Wizard appears, enter
EVS1.ac.nuigalway.ie
The
Use Cached Exchange Mode box must be ticked. Click
Next
Your email account has now been configured, click
Finish
Open Microsoft Outlook 2010. Outlook will setup a local copy of your mailbox. This may take several minutes, depending on the size of your mailbox. When complete, you will see your Inbox and mail folders in Outlook.
