Microsoft Office 2010 Volume Product Key

Under the Microsoft Campus Agreement, managed by Information Solutions and Services on behalf of the University, there is an entitlement to unlimited use on campus on University-owned equipment, and educational use off-campus by permanent members of staff, of Windows 7 Enterprise edition and Office 2010 Enterprise edition.
Please note the recommended platform for all standard computers in use in NUI Galway is Windows XP/Office 2007

Microsoft Office 2010 users have to activate their volume license suites using a volume licence key (VLK). Microsoft made it mandatory to go through volume license activation in order to start using the volume licensed products.

Once MS Office 2010 is installed, open each of the applications in turn to add the Licence Key.
On opening the application the Microsoft Office Action Wizard screen pops up
Click on Change Product Key
Enter the licence key found on the CD case and click Continue.
At the final window click Install Now
To verify the application is activated click on File, Help
To the left of the screen you will see Product Activated
