How do I set up a Spam filter on the BlackBerry?
You can set up a filter to block all tagged Spam (i.e. all mail with [NUIGspam] in the subject of the message) going to your BlackBerry.
- Hit the Meny Key
and using the Trackpad, go to
Email
- Hit the Meny Key again
and using the Trackpad select
Options .
- Select
E-mail Filters
.
Press the Trackball to see the Email Filters screen.
- Press the Menu Key
to see the Filters Menu and choose
New
- For
Filter Name
, type in a name of your own choosing e.g. NUIGspam
- Leave the From: Sent to: and Message: fields empty.
- For Subject, type in
NUIGspam
- Select
Action
(at the bottom of the screen).
- Press the Trackpad and choose
Do not forward
- Press the Trackpad again and choose
Save
from the menu
After you have set up this filter, any messages with the string "NUIGspam" within its subject heading will not be forwarded to your BlackBerry.
