What is an IMEI number?

The IMEI (International Mobile Equipment Identity) is the unique electronic serial number of a mobile phone.
 
The IMEI number is printed on the box that the phone came in and you will also find it on the back of the phone, printed on a sticker underneath the battery.

How to find the IMEI number?

• Mobile Phone IMEI
  Most phones will display the IMEI number if you type *#06# on the keypad. 
  The * key is under the number 7 and the # key is under the number 9.
  
  
• BlackBerry IMEI
  Hit the Meny Keyand using the Trackpad, go to  Options  > Status
  
   
• iPhone IMEI
  iPhone users, type the following on the keypad, *#06#. Your IMEI will then be displayed on your screen.
