What if I want to purchase a different type of handheld device?

You should purchase the handheld device that best meets your requirements but please keep in mind that Information Solutions and Services cannot provide support for devices other than the BlackBerry models listed on the University e-Government Contract CON226 and O2  with an O2 connection.

It is possible to access your NUI, Galway email on a variety of handheld devices. Some devices will also allow you to connect to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server to provide wireless email synchronisation. On request, Information Solutions and Services will set up an account on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server for any Exchange email user. However, it is the responsibility of the user of the handheld device (other than supported models on the O2 contract) to investigate, understand and setup the email synchronisation process on the handheld.
