Staff users are advised that Information Solutions and Services can provide only limited, advisory support for Smartphone/Android, as such devices are outside of the NUI Galway IT Equipment Procurement Contract CON111.
There are no restrictions on Android/ Smartphones accessing the NUIGWiFi network on-campus.
Android/Smartphone users with Internet access can access their Staff eMail or StudentMail account on the device using a web browser
StudentMail users with a Windows Mobile or ActiveSync device can also synchronize their Android/Smartphone with one StudentMail mailbox

Staff email users may be able to setup synchronisation of email and calendar on their Android/Smartphone if the device allows synchronisation with a Microsoft Exchange server. Prior to purchasing, it is recommended that you confirm with your mobile provider that the device can be configured for Microsoft Exchange. Remember to determine the data charges for this service.
