Wireless, ip configuration for nuigwifi

How to check IP configuration for NUIGWiFi  -  Windows 7

Click Start .... Control Panel

Open Network and Sharing Center
 

Click Change adapter settings

Double-click on Wireless Network Connection  

OR 
ncpa.cpl  - Command prompt to open Wireless Network Connection window 
This opens the Wireless Network Connection Status dialog box 
 

Click the Properties button

1. If you are running any anti-virus software other than McAfee e.g. Norton, AVG
   If your AV has filters applied, they need to be unticked e.g. AVG Filter
   
   
2. Click Internet Protocol Version (TCP/Ipv4)
   Click the Properties button
   The Internet Protocol Version 4 Properties dialog box appears
   The screen should be blank with only the following ticked 
     Obtain an IP address automatically
     Obtain DNS server address automatically
   Click OK
   
   
3. Click Close
   
   
4. Click OK
   
   
5. You should now see in the Activity section, Bytes Sent and Received increasing automatically.
