Culture Night Launch - sculpture, music and trails
At this jam-packed launch event, you will enjoy:
- official launch of Galway Culture Night 2014 by Mayor of Galway, Cllr Dónal Lyons
- a performance by the award-winning ConTempo Quartet, Galway's Ensemble in Residence
- the launch of our new Cultural Campus Trail, which will guide you around the University's historical, cultural, environmental and scientific treasures

Art Exhibition by Vincent Godfrey-Glynn
An Dánlann - the University's Art Gallery - will be taken over by an exhibition by artist Vincent Godfrey-Glynn. Entitled Let's Take a Walk - a 3D Drawing, the show features new and older work in drawing, mixed media and sculptural work in a witty, deep and sometimes surreal take on life

Film and Drama at the James Hardiman Library
The Library's Archives and Special Collections team are hosting two events.
Film fans are invited to a special illustrated talk by Professor James Gosling exploring the Galway Connections of Sigmund Freud - the Movie, by Jean-Paul Sartre and John Huston.
This is followed by a guided tour of 'Performing Ireland - 1904-2014', an exhibition of the Abbey Theatre's Digital Archive, as well as a tour of the University's archive of historical, political and cultural treasures.

Night of the Robots!
Come and explore the collection of vintage and modern robots in the Computer and Communications Museum of Ireland. The museum, located in the IDA Business Park in Dangan, is one of Galway's hidden gems. Pop by and revisit some classic computers and technology from the past 60 years.

A Feast for Film Fans
The Galway Film Society and Huston School of Film and Digital Media invite you to celebrate Galway's Film Heritage.
They present a Ciné-Concert of films made in and about Galway between 1921 and 1974. Special guest Saileog Ní Cheannabháin will perform live musical accompaniment on the fiddle.

Exploration IV - a sculpture by Donnacha Cahill - will pop up at the Archway, to highlight the events on campus on Culture Night
