Having completed my undergrad and submitting a masters thesis on the subject my field of research is focused on the metallacarboranes, which are typical 'sandwich' metal complexes using polyhedral carborane ligands. Their enzyme inhibition and antimicrobial properties have catered well to my interests in research thus far; the medicinal applications of these molecules. In CÚRAM I am working on loading metallacarboranes into biomaterials as a therapeutic agent. My Supervisor is Dr. Pau Farràs.
