Culture Night is an annual all-island public event that celebrates culture, creativity and the arts.  This year, it will take place on Friday 16th September 2016. On Culture Night, arts and cultural organisations and venues of all shapes and sizes, including the National Cultural Institutions, extend their opening hours to allow for increased access to the public. Special and unique events and workshops are specifically programmed at participating locations and everything is available free of charge.

Hosted by The School Of Alternative Possibilities, SOAP kitchen is a public participatory event inviting you to join in conversation with biomedical scientists over a bowl of warming broth prepared from foraged local ingredients.The School of Alternative Possibilities is the current recipient of the CÚRAM Artist in Residence award. CÚRAM is a Science Foundation Ireland Research Centre located in the National University of Ireland, Galway. For an audience of all ages, from 6.00 to 8.00pm or until the soup runs out!
