The Discipline of Medicine at the University of Ireland, Galway, has a major role in the undergraduate and postgraduate teaching of medical students at Galway University Hospitals. School of Medicine is dedicated to providing state-of-the-art patient care and improving treatment through clinical research and education.
Discipline of Medicine at undergraduate level integrated teaching and exmining in modules across the junior, intermediate and senior cycles of the 5 year programmes of the School of Medicine.
Discilpine of Medicine offers postgraduate opportunities for MSc, PhD and MD students in biomedical sciences, and subspecialties of Medicine. The Discipline of Medicine is a large department comprised of following clinical specialties:
Cardiology, Dermatology, Diabetes and Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatric Medicine, Infectious Diseases, Neurology, Oncology and Haematology, Respiratory Medicine, Renal Medicine and Rheumatology.
