The Institute for Environment, Marine and Energy has been established in 2010 from a merger of the Environmental Change Institute and Martin Ryan Institute for Marine Science. It promotes interdisciplinary excellence in environmental, marine and energy research with a commitment to international collaboration, the educational mission of NUIG and support for a regional, national and EU sustainable development agenda.
