Mary Silles joined the Department of Economics in September 2006. Her main areas of research expertise include the economics of education, health economics, labour economics, and related topics in applied micro-econometrics.

Previously, she held positions at the University of Oxford, the University of Chicago and the University of Copenhagen. She holds a D.Phil. in economics from St. John's College, Oxford.
