The Apple iPedagogy Learning Environment Centre (AiPLE) here in NUI Galway is the first university-based Apple Regional Training Centre in Ireland, promoting excellence in educational technology and pedagogical research, and the creative application of ICT in teaching for Pre-Service, Post Primary Teachers. It is located in the School of Education. The suite contains iMac desktop computers for the use of students and staff.

We have two technology fora on the NUIG BlackBoard VLE: " askabouttechnology" for our PGDE students & " TeicneoChaint" for our DGO students.  The purpose of these fora is to facilitate discussion on the educational technology & ICT issues that you may encounter either with us and/or in your school. We want this to become an effective means for you, our pre-qualified teachers to support each other, by providing advice and information from your own experiences, on ways to integrate ICT in teaching & learning.
