The Resource Library (room D201, Block D) houses a valuable collection of teaching materials in all second-level subject areas which student-teachers may borrow for use on teaching practice.

The Library contains:

School text books
Department of Education & Skills literature
CD-ROM's
Teaching packs
Multimedia packs
Teaching charts
Wall charts
DVD' s and video tapes
OHP transparencies
Range of materials 'As Gaeilge'

Additional features include:

NUIG WiFi internet access
Video review facility
Audio review facility
Facility for small group work
Quiet environment for study, reflection, reading & research

Also contained within it are a stock of school curriculum materials, and samples of student projects in various subject areas.

The Resource Library provides a service for approx. 350 students from all SoE programmes (in line with NUIG’s student centred policy) e.g. PGDE, DIO and the BA in Maths & Education programme. It is also a reading, reflection and study space for students on all the SoE programmes.

Closed all day Monday
Tuesday & Wednesday 9.15am - 5.15pm
Thursday 9.15am - 6.00pm (until 10/2/2011)
Friday 9.15am - 4.30pm
Closed for lunch 1pm - 2.15pm
