science teaching centre, SCHOL OF EDUCATION, NUI GALWAY

The Centre was originally established in 1973 by Dr Oliver Ryan and consists of a large teaching laboratory. It is now managed by Dr Veronica McCauley.

There are a selection of Science teaching aids which include apparatus, videos, books, charts, science games, overhead transparencies, etc. Both teachers and students borrow the materials for use in their schools. The Centre hosts the Galway Branch of the Irish Science Teachers' Association and guest lectures, regular branch meetings and in-service courses take place there.

The Centre is open from 9.15 am to 5.15 pm, Monday to Friday.
