School Visits
Lecturers in the College of Engineering and Informatics regularly visit post-primary schools to talk about the
Engineering / Information Technology programmes offered at NUI Galway. In 2009/10 over 100 schools were visited, and presentations were delivered to students from Transition Year to Leaving Certificate Year. Most visits are made between October and January.
The presentations are informal and address the entry requirements, details/ content of various degree programmes and career possibilities. There is usually an opportunity for students to ask questions afterwards.
If you are a Guidance Counsellor/Teacher and would like a College Member to visit your school, please email
