IELTS
Programme Overview
A preparation course for the widely used English language test IELTS (International English Language Testing System).
This structured and dynamic course is delivered to improve students' core English skills of listening, speaking, writing and reading.
Students will systematically work through the four components of the examination, develop key examination strategies and experience comprehensive exam practice at regular intervals throughout the syllabus.
The course will enable students to be appropriately equipped and confident when sitting the IELTS examination.
Please note that this programme is focused on IELTS Academic as opposed to IELTS General Training – click here for further clarification on these exam types.

Programme Aim
The overall aim of the course is to enable students to perform to the best of their ability in achieving their required IELTS Academic band.
This programme is specifically tailored towards candidates who want to study in an English-speaking university or institutions of higher and further education, including The National University of Ireland Galway, and require a specific IELTS score to do so.

- IMPORTANT: Please note the minimum entry requirements onto the 10- and 6-week IELTS programmes respectively as listed in the table above
- Final acceptance onto IELTS programmes is at the discretion of the IELTS Programme Director
- IELTS test registration or exam fee not included
- For students enrolling on either programme we recommend that they book the IELTS Academic exam which takes place in Galway on 11/08/2018. Click HERE for more information
- Students must be 18 years or over to join programme
- There must be a minimum of five students enrolled to proceed with all courses
- Maximum class size is 12 students
