The Magmatic Studies Group uses multidisciplinary approaches to investigate the petrogenesis of carbonated and carbonate-rich igneous rocks (both locally and internationally), the magmatic phenomena occurring on the Palaeozoic sea floors of Ireland, and the formation of ore mineralizations associated with magmatic activity.
