The VP for Equality & Diversity, Prof Anne Scott is delighted to announce the awarding of 13 Research Capacity Building Grants to academic women from across all five colleges who have had an extended period of leave connected with caring. The Mid-Career Lecturer Research Capacity Building Grants were established to support women and men in building their independent research careers and provide support to help mitigate the impact of an extended leave period on research activities. This was the first year in a three-year pilot programme of the grant, rolled out as a part of the Athena SWAN Action Plan.

This grant is operated in collaboration with the College Offices and managed through the College Research Committees. To find out more information on the grant please review the policy, or contact the OVPED.
