English will be the official language of the Symposium.
In accordance with the resolution proposed at the meeting of
the European Carbohydrate Organisation (ECO) held in Seville,
Spain in July 1995, the 10th European Carbohydrate Symposium will
be held in 1999 at the National University of Ireland, Galway.
The European Carbohydrate Organisation is a body consisting of
representatives from each European country having centres of
active research in carbohydrate chemistry. The President of the
Organisation is the national representative of the last country
to host the symposium. The European Carbohydrate Symposia are
organised every two years, and to date the following symposia
have been held.
