Galway is situated on the west coast of the Republic of Ireland and may be easily reached by air, ferry, train, bus or car or a combination of these.

Aer Lingus has been appointed official carrier to Eurocarb X. To avail of special conditions on airfares, delegates should contact their local Aer Lingus office, identifying themselves as delegates to Eurocarb X. For a listing of Aer Lingus offices worldwide, see the Aer Lingus web site.
International airports are located at Dublin and Shannon.
Onward flight connections can be made from Dublin airport to
Galway airport, located about 3 km outside the city. A small
number of flights come directly from the UK to Galway airport.
You are advised to book early to obtain Galway airport
connections.
A bus service runs directly from Dublin airport to Galway (about
3.5 hours). Alternatively, you may take a bus or taxi to Dublin
city centre and take a train (from Heuston Station) or a bus
(Central Bus Station) to Galway.
Taxi and bus services are available from Galway and Shannon
airports.

Ireland is linked to Great Britain and France by a number of
ferry routes, served by large modern vessels with drive on/drive
off facilities.
Irish Ferries are happy to offer a special fare (15% discount) from the UK for delegates travelling to Eurocarb. For reservations and sailing information please phone the Liverpool office (Ph. 08705 17 17 17).
There are five daily train services in each direction connecting Dublin (Heuston Station) and Galway.
Bus Eireann and private bus companies run an hourly bus service between Dublin and Galway. Regular bus services also operate from Shannon and Galway airports to Galway city centre.
A number of major car hire companies are located at airports.
