Engineering Summer School

The College of Engineering and Informatics at NUI Galway will hold a Summer School in June for students interested in studying at the University. This is an excellent opportunity for prospective students to get a real taste of University life and to enjoy a wide range of hands-on, practical activities. The Engineering Summer School, will introduce engineering in a fun and interactive way. Students will be given a unique hands-on practical experience to get a taste of life as an engineer.

Computing Summer School

The Discipline of Information Technology will host an innovative computing summer camp in June where second-level students will have an opportunity to explore and experiment with new technologies that form the basis of our digital age. The summer school, designed by staff in Information Technology, introduces computing in a novel, fun and interactive way. Students can creatively explore how to use leading-edge technologies, from constructing and controlling robots that can interact with their environment, to directing a virtual “mini-movie” that can be uploaded to a web site and shared with friends.
