Dr Forrestal’s interests lie in early modern Europe, particularly seventeenth-century France, and in the history of religion, especially early modern Catholic culture and society. Her current writing focuses on the career of Vincent de Paul and the development of the Congregation of the Mission within the Catholic reform movement of seventeenth-century France. She would welcome enquiries from those interested in postgraduate research on seventeenth-century France and/or the history of the Catholic church and Catholic religion and culture in early modern Europe.
