Physiology

The Discipline of Physiology is primarily affiliated to the School of Medicine at NUI Galway. Teaching staff includes one professor and four lecturers. Approx. 400 students every year choose to study physiology, Medicine (160/year), Biomedical-science (50/Year), up to 20 science students choose Physiology as their primary degree while upwards of 90/year take Physiology in 2nd year undenomonated Science. The Department is also involved in teaching to nursing students, industrial engineering and biomedical engineering students.
