We are very pleased to have the largest programme of postgraduate education in general practice and primary care on the island of Ireland. Our courses are completely modularised allowing students to register for courses of one module, incrementally building to a PhD, if so desired! Indeed NUI Galway were the first department to award a PhD in primary care in Ireland. Our postgraduate courses are broadly distributed between the three themes of primary care concepts, clinical primary care and clinical teaching.
