I graduated from UCG in 2001 with a medical degree and subsequently completed the Western Training Programme in General Practice in 2007. Since then I have enjoyed combining clinical GP work with academic work in the Department of General Practice at NUIG. I first joined the department in 2007 as Lecturer in Clinical Methods. During my year as lecturer I completed the Postgraduate Diploma in Clinical Teaching. Having subsequently lived in Cork for a year, where I worked as a GP, I rejoined the department as a Clinical Researcher in May 2010. I live in Galway with my husband and two children.
