Dr. Deirdre byrnes 

Deirdre Byrnes is a graduate of University College Cork (BA in German and French 1994, Higher Diploma in Education 1995, MPhil 1997) and University College Dublin (PhD 2004). She studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität-Heidelberg (DAAD undergraduate scholarship, 1992-1993), the University of Konstanz (1995-1996), the University of Potsdam and the Freie Universität Berlin (DAAD postgraduate scholarship 1998-1999).
