Dr. Deirdre byrnes
Deirdre Byrnes is a graduate of University College Cork (BA in German and French, Higher Diploma in Education, MPhil) and University College Dublin (PhD). She studied at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität-Heidelberg (DAAD undergraduate scholarship), the University of Konstanz, the University of Potsdam and the Freie Universität Berlin (DAAD postgraduate scholarship).
She is programme director of Legal German at NUI Galway.
From 2007 to 2010 she was Vice-Dean for the First Arts Experience in the College of Arts, Social Sciences and Celtic Studies, NUI Galway.
