Doris devilly
Doris Devilly is a graduate of UCG/NUIG (BA in German and Spanish l988, MA in German Literature l993, Postgraduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning in Higher Education 2007). She also studied at the Padagogische Fachhochschule (Munich) where she obtained the Higher Diploma in special Needs Education and a Diploma in Montessori Teaching. Before joining the German Department, NUIG in l993 she worked as a German teacher in Colaiste Einde (Galway) and the Galway, Mayo Institute of Technology.
Since l996, Doris is the programme director, lecturer and Erasmus coordinator of the German component of the B. Comm. International (German) degree programme. She also teaches Children's Literature on the BA Connect (Children''s Studies)degree programme and Language Learning Strategies to first year BA students. In 2004, Doris was appointed NUIG extern examiner (German) for the Shannon College of Hotel Management and in 2005, she was awarded the NUIG President's Award for Teaching Excellence. She is currently working on a NAIRTL funded research project on The use of Web 2.0 in language teaching and learning.
