Graduate students are central to our learning community at NUI Galway. We offer more than 115 full-time and 55 part-time taught courses and a wide range of research opportunities. The University is committed to developing its graduate community and we are currently increasing our cohort of graduate students.
NUI Galway has been very successful in securing research funding across a range of disciplines and is now prioritising interdisciplinary research and strategic research in key areas. These areas include: Humanities, Applied Social Sciences and Public Policy; Environment, Biomedical Engineering Science; Informatics, Physics and Computational Sciences. We are also developing structured PhD programmes across our five Colleges to ensure that our graduate students are equipped with the best range of skills to prepare them for their careers on graduation.
