A strong and dynamic research ethos and culture exists in the School of Nursing and Midwifery which contributes to the culture of evidence-based nursing and midwifery practice currently evolving in Ireland. Research undertaken by the School has not only academic outcomes but also a significant and on-going impact on nursing and midwifery practice. An aspiring centre of excellence, the research work of the School is organised around four main research clusters.
