Communicating Research - Understanding the Knowledge Transfer Opportunities
Sharing knowledge is a significant activity throughout a students PhD journey and our research students play a considerable role in the uncovering of new knowledge and information, in discovering new ways of seeing the world and perhaps even creating new products and services. How this is shared with the wider community is crucial and this booklet provides an insight into how best to achieve this - irrespective of the discipline in which the PhD student is researching. The knowledge booklet is titled “ Communicating Research - Understanding the Knowledge Transfer Opportunities” and was developed and designed by Niamh Corcoran, Maebh Coleman and Michelle Bradley from the Technology Transfer Office, in consultation with the Graduate Studies Office at NUI Galway, UCC and TCD. This was launched by the President, Dr James Browne on the 9 th December 2010.
